Fireworks displays are planned for area (Lawrence Journal-World)

Fireworks show junkies have plenty of options to get their fill this weekend for the Fourth of July. In Lawrence, the big show was moved to Clinton Lake this year from the Kansas River. The Sesquicentennial Point fireworks display by the Lawrence Jaycees will begin at 10 p.m. Friday.
